Chapter 1: Introduction to Database System
In this chapter, we learned about the levels of data, Database Management System (DBMS), File-based system and Database System. The lecture started to explain the basic concepts of database model using entity-relationship diagram and translating completed data models by applying normalization technique in logical database designs. We also learned about Characteristics of Database System, Application of Database System, Types of Database System and Users in Database System.

It's a little bit confused at first, but with the help of our lecturers Madam Shamsiah Binti Salamat, now we can understand. We learned this chapter for 2 days because its long and not enough time. The next day, we learned about Data Model which is types of Data Model, Schema and Instance and Database Language which is an example of each languages. We did an interactive discussion through forum in Cidos Platform.
Every time before we ended our class, we always do a Kahoot quiz to test our knowledge and increase it. We had fun doing a Kahoot quiz because we can understand this topic so well. Madam Shamsiah gave a prize to a winners.
Chapter ni merupakan chapter yang pertama. Dekat chapter ni kami dapat mengenal pasti tentang apa itu Database System, dan tambahan pula kami juga belajar tentang advantages dan disadvantages of Database System. Selain itu, kami dapat belajar di manakah database system ini di aplikasikan seperti di tempat lapangan terbang, bank dan perpustakaan.

Kami juga difahamkan dia punya characteristic,application,types dan users in database system serta cara menggunakan data model , schema,instance dan database language.
